Twistizzi - Pastizzi with a Twist

Ingredients:

  • 10 Salami Sticks (or 5 long ones)

  • 10 Party-size Ricotta Frozen Pastizzi (thawed)

  • 1 Egg

  • 1tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Black Sesame Seeds

  • Salt

Directions:

  • 1.Thaw the pastizzi to room temperature.

  • 2.Cut the salami sticks in half (if using the long ones)

  • 3.Make sure the pastizz is entirely closed and no filling is oozing out. Then carefully twist it around the salami stick.

  • 4.Place the sticks onto baking paper.

  • 5.Beat an egg and add the Olive Oil and mix well.

  • 6.Brush the pastizzi with this mixture.

  • 7.Season the surface with salt.

  • 8.Drizzle them with sesame seeds.

  • 9.Bake at 230°c (preheated) for 15-20 minutes or until golden ad crispy.

  • 10.Enjoy!
